This album was recorded by Jay Bowcott at his home studio in the summer of 2018. During the production of this record Jay's ear drum ruptured and he couldn't play music for 4 months. This really drew out the release of this album. It was strange times. It marks Jay's second self produced record the first of which was his 2013 album Constant Rain.

Chidult is a collection of songs that are semi-autobiographical and cover many events in Jay's life. Some names have been changed to protect the weirdos involved in the songs.
